A Gardiner man captured video Monday night of a bright light soaring slowly across the sky.

A close encounter of the third kind? Probably not.

The man, Michael Alden, took the video shortly after 7:30 p.m., when the International Space Station was passing overhead and visible in the sky, according to News Center Maine (WCSH/ WLBZ).

Alden told the TV station that he was closely the curtains for the night when he saw the light, and he called for his wife and kids look.
