GARDINER — Cole Lawrence had two singles and an RBI to lead the Gardiner baseball team to a 3-1 victory over Yarmouth on Saturday.

Logan Porter earned the win on the mound for the Tigers (10-2), and now owns a 4-1 record on the season.

The Clippers fall to 7-5.

RICHMOND 11-17, VINALHAVEN 0-3: Zach Small finished the afternoon with a home run, three doubles, six hits and six RBIs as the Bobcats swept a doubleheader in East/West Conference action.

Small homered and had two doubles in the first game, while Andrew Vachon pitched a complete game and struck out nine for Richmond (10-0).

Small (double, three RBIs) and Vachon (triple) had three hits apiece in the second game, while Matt Rines had three hits and Danny Stewart, Nate Kendrick and Trystin Shea had two hits each. Justin Vachon struck out four in the complete-game victory.

BUCKFIELD 11-6, RANGELEY 1-1: Cal Crosby had a double in Game 1 of a doubleheader, but it wasn’t enough for the Lakers, who fell in both games to the Bucks in Rangeley.

The Lakers fall to 6-5. Buckfield improves to 7-4.

GIRLS LACROSSE

ERSKINE 10, MAINE GIRLS ACADEMY 9: Liz Sugg and Jordan Linscott each scored three goals to lead the Eagles to a win over the Lions in a Class C game in South China.

Kyli Julia scored two goals, while Alana York added a goal for Erskine (4-3).

Catherine Reid scored seven goals for Maine Girls Academy (2-7).

GARDINER 10, MT. ARARAT 9: Maddie Walker scored three goals, while Bailey Poole and Evelyn Hinckley added two goals to lead the Tigers to a win over the Eagles in Topsham.

Madisyn Smith, Anna Chadwick and Michaela Gardner added goals for the Tigers (3-5).

Mt. Ararat falls to 0-9.

BOYS LACROSSE

WINDHAM 12, GARDINER 10: Nathan Phillis and Sloan Berthiaume each scored three goals, but it wasn’t enough for the Tigers, who fell to the Eagles in Gardiner.

Logan Manter scored two goals, while Cody Rizzo and Parker Hinckley added goals for Gardiner (4-5).

Tom Leknesi scored six goals for Windham (6-1).
