BELFAST — PAWS Animal Adoption Center will host the Paces for PAWS 5K Run and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at the Belfast Rail Trail, according to a news release from the animal adoption center.
Check-in for the race will begin at 7 a.m. The walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. check-in ends at 9 a.m.
Participants can walk with their dogs, children or friends; wear silly hats or costumes and make it their own.
The event is a dog friendly event, all dogs must be current with rabies and distemper vaccines and must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times.
To register in advance, visit Active.com by May 23; during this time fees are reduced. Free event bandanas will be available for all participants who register in advance and while supplies last.
All proceeds from this event will go to support those animals at PAWS. To register, visit pacesforpaws.org.
