DAMARISCOTTA — The Lincoln County Democratic Committee will host a Victory 2018 Campaign Office Open House from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at 521 Main St.
With the theme of “We’re all local,” the event will feature local food and drink, and music by midcoast local singer/songwriter Jud Caswell. Those who attend can meet local candidates and sign up for volunteer activities.
The campaign office serves several functions. It’s a place for volunteers to meet before canvassing or phone banking, LCDC monthly meetings and sub-committee meetings, where candidates can meet with the press for interviews or with the public for “meet-and-greets.” It’s also where members of the public can stop in and get information about the candidates and questions that will appear on the November ballot. During the heaviest part of campaign season, the office will be open seven days a week.
For more information, email LCDC Campaign Chairwoman Barb Burt at [email protected], stop by the office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. and noon on Saturday, or visit lincolncountydemocrats.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
