WATERVILLE — A plan to raze St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Elm Street and replace it with housing for the elderly is moving closer to reality, with officials estimating the demolition will be in spring or early summer.

Ice falls off bridge, injures driver
FAIRFIELD – Police and other emergency workers at about 3:45 p.m. today were heading to Interstate 95 near Exit 132 southbound for a report of a driver injured when ice and snow fell off a bridge and apparently crashed through her windshield.
