Amy Hopkins clutches her dog to her chest Monday at the Augusta Community Warming Center. Hopkins, her husband and son were evicted Monday from their room in Augusta, she said, following a dispute with another tenant at a boarding house. “We’re homeless,” she said. The cold is forecast to persist for the remainder of the week.
