Ned McPherson cleans the antlers of a bull moose recently at his parents’ Farmingdale shed. McPherson bagged the bull near Escort Station in October while hunting with his father, Ernie.  The younger McPherson said he hoped to have the moose rack dressed out to make way for buck rack he plans to collect this November.

Jeff Chaplin wipes down an oak bannister Monday outside of the Gardiner building he’s converting into a hairdressing and massage salon, Namaste Studios.  Chaplin said he’s redecorating the business with architectural antiques he’s collected for several years.
