WINTHROP — The answer to Madison’s win against Win-throp on Friday night could quite possibly be found in the starting lineups. The Bulldogs started four seniors while the Ramblers opened with four sophomores.

A Massachusetts native, he graduated from the University of Maine in 1999 with a BA in Journalism. AUGUSTA — The Cony girls basketball team needed plenty to go right Friday night to upend Mt. Ararat in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Confer-ence Class A game.

Cony rallied from one-goal deficits in each of the first two periods, the latter on a Dallas Clark penalty shot goal, and the teams skated to a hard-fought 2-2 draw before a large crowd.
HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: Monmouth duo making a mark
Monmouth’s Stewart Buzzell and James Gambino, who wrestle in the 138- and 145-pound divisions, respectfully, won individual championships at the Mid-State League Tournament last weekend. It was the first time Monmouth had a pair of champions at that event.

The Cunninghams put on another show Wednesday, combining for three goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over rival Waterville.
