He is from Hagerstown, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Richmond in May of 2025 with a B.A. in journalism and leadership studies. At Richmond, Jimmy spent over two years as sports editor of the student newspaper, The Collegian, and throughout his undergraduate journalism career had bylines in a number of local Virginia newspapers as well as several national sports sites. Prior to moving to Maine in January 2026, Jimmy had several previous ties to the state, having spent summers visiting family in Ogunquit and York Beach. He's a big fan of professional and college sports, especially the NBA, and is excited to continue this new adventure in Maine.
