    AUGUSTA — The Monmouth girls cross country team didn’t think about times during Saturday’s Mountain Valley Conference championship meet. Instead, the Mustangs thought about who they were supposed to be running with, who they needed to beat in order to win the conference title.

    CROSS COUNTRY: McClintock, Monmouth girls win MVC titles

    AUGUSTA — Madison Area Memorial High School senior Matt McClintock cruised to victory at the Mountain Valley Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday at the University of Maine at Augusta, finishing the soggy course in 16 minutes, 23 seconds. He dominated from start to finish, easily beating Boothbay’s Chase Brown, who finished in 16:56.
