Meet Thornton and Portland football, who face off again for Class A title

The Class A, B, C and D title games are Saturday in Lewiston and Portland.

These players helped their teams win state championships or earn spots in this week’s state finals.

Two Gold Balls will be awarded in the eight-man ranks, while 11-man teams battle for berths in state title game.

Thornton Academy will play in its third No. 1-versus-No. 2 matchup, and second against Bonny Eagle.
