About 30 people took part in the walk of remembrance that began at the Randall Student Center and ended at the UMA 9/11 memorial, where there were painted bricks honoring the 2,977 victims.
Gardiner Area High School National Honor Society members recently packed 200 Thanksgiving baskets to distribute to families in need.
