Funding for Fairfield water expansion hits roadblocks, leading Town Council to reconsider federal relief aid
Town officials had hoped to combine a $1 million grant with $8.4 million in federal money to begin the funding package for the proposed expansion of the public water system, but the town has withdrawn from consideration for the grant.
