FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Stars will host the U10 and U12 Babe Ruth State Championship on Friday and Saturday at Prescott Field (behind Narrow Gauge Cinema). On Friday, two games start at 4 p.m., and on Saturday, games start at 8 a.m. and go until 6 p.m. Admission is $3 per person per day; children younger than 12 are free.

OAKLAND — The PFBF, CPAs half-marathon and 5K Run-or-Walk will be 8 a.m. Sunday in Oakland, rain or shine. The event is open to the public and registration is $35, which benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine.
