Low voter turnout expected for Tuesday’s primary

The biggest draw will be the hotly contested 2nd Congressional District Republican and Democratic races.

Democratic rabble-rouser Troy Jackson and tea party-backed Bruce Poliquin hope to defeat more established candidates in the primaries Tuesday.

Volunteers for Republicans and Democrats are working for votes in the two races, one of which looks close, before Tuesday’s primary.
