Incumbent Waterville councilor faces opposition in Ward 4

Though more subdued than Monday night’s debate in Portland, the event in Auburn includes some jabs between candidates.

The candidates for City Council both see job creation and stimulating business as big priorities.

The seat covers Skowhegan and the Somerset County Jail in East Madison.

Democrat Craig Hickman and Republican Lee Fellman seek to represent Winthrop, Readfield and part of Monmouth.

Maloney, a Democrat, has been out campaigning, while Sullivan, an independent, is not actively working the campaign trail.

While LePage and Michaud spar in freewheeling exchanges, Cutler is a little less forceful while asserting that voters are weary of the bickering.

All three candidates will take part in debates scheduled for tonight and tomorrow night.
