Edward A. Sincyr, 44, was charged with multiple misdemeanors after police say he yelled obscenities, resisted arrest and tried to grab an officer’s gun during his arrest at the Skowhegan walking bridge early Sunday morning.

Victim was treated for his injuries and then released from Augusta hospital.

A new alternative sentencing program through the Somerset County Jail allows those convicted of nonviolent minor offenses to avoid a jail sentence.

Tommy Clark, 25, of Industry, is set to be sentenced Monday at 1 p.m. at the Farmington District Court on charges he pleaded guilty to in June in relation to the death of an East Wilton woman.
