Residents of The Woodwinds are the latest tenants in the Portland area to feel the pressure exerted by rent increases, a development boom and a lack of affordable housing.

In a letter rescinding eviction notices, the Massachusetts-based company tells renters at Woodwinds Apartments that it plans to put money into the complex and ‘if it works out, we would love to have you stay.’
