Augusta Police Chief Robert Gregoire, who uses a wheelchair, alleged he was a victim of disability discrimination because his street was not plowed immediately after a big storm, but the Maine Human Rights Commission voted Monday to find no reasonable grounds for the complaint.

City officials say the project isn’t the cause, but they’ll look into a solution to the drainage problems.

The event was part of nationally coordinated event called Shattering Silence.

The agency, which served those with mental disabilities and illness, closed abruptly May 9.
