Ten baseball players and eight softball players in the running for awards given to the state’s top senior players.

The Golden Bucks win their first girls crown, while the Red Riots capture their fifth boys crown since 2015.

Mind games? Playing matchups? Letting ‘em rip? Coaches across the state do all three and more.

Our first-ever girls All-State squad contains multiple New England champions from the top programs throughout the state.

With individual titles from sisters Nevaeh and Sophie Grunhuvd, the Mustangs beat host Mt. Blue in year two of the girls team competition.

Down a run in the seventh inning, the Bulldogs score four runs to beat Bucksport.

The Hawks score all their runs in the fifth inning, then hang on for a 4-3 victory.

The Bulldogs received contributions — from the bottom of the order to the bench — in Tuesday’s regional final win over Spruce Mountain.

The group will leave as one of the most successful ones in program history.
