Organizers weren’t sure what to expect for turnout after several years without holding the event, but they were still ready to serve hundreds a free turkey dinner on Christmas Day at a new venue in Winslow.

Community members provide free Christmas meals to hundreds
Volunteers prepared bags of freshly cooked meals and handed them out to those who could make it to the venue. Those who couldn’t, simply called and provided their address and phone number and the food reached their doorstep.
