A library board member said the library’s operation isn’t sustainable without a significant change in the nonprofit organization’s financial situation.

Favorable weather and an accelerated, 24-hour work schedule allowed the turnpike authority to complete the $2.3 million project early.

The council also approved the final purchase negotiations for a new police cruiser, new fire department digital radios and a new plow truck.
