The vote in a June referendum to abolish Readfield’s Public Works Department was 424 in favor and 419 against. An article on page A1 of Friday’s edition misstated the vote count becaue of a reporter error.

Regional School Unit 12’s central office is in Whitefield. An article on page B7 of Thursday’s edition misidentified the location due to reporter error.

Thursday’s story on page A1 about the potential closing of the East Vassalboro Post Office provided, because of a reporting error, an incorrect deadline for comments. The postal service will accept comments through Aug. 14. Also, Jan Murton should have been identified as owner of North Country Rivers.

An article about standup paddle boarding on page 1 of the Outdoors section Sunday should have included Ring’s Marine Service as a company that sells and delivers standup paddle boards. The company is in South Freeport. Its phone number is 865-6143.

KENTS HILL — Kents Hill Orchard occupies 91 acres. The size was given incorrectly Wednesday in a story on Page A1.

A story on page A1 of Thursday’s paper incorrectly identified a company doing computer forensics work for Kennebec Savings Bank. The Maine-based company is Sage Data Security.
