Lincoln County deputy’s trial on 22 sex abuse charges set to start Monday

Kenneth L. Hatch III, deputy of the year in 2015, is accused of abusing girls during ride-alongs in his cruiser.

Robert Potter, 31, of Augusta, was charged, and police say a woman who witnessed the incident ran out to her car, suffered a medical event and died.
