Investigators also found Jan. 3 surveillance video of man resembling Brian Walshe throwing what appeared to be heavy trash bags into a dumpster at an apartment complex in a nearby community.

Brian Walshe did not tell police he had been to the home improvement store, where he bought mops, buckets, tarps, tape and other items.

Gov. Charlie Baker withdrew his request Wednesday seeking pardons for two individuals at the center of one the nation’s most notorious sexual abuse trials of the 1980s.
