The board’s 4-1 vote Tuesday came as officials said residents will have input on traffic solutions and police will assist in monitoring traffic at random times and locations.

Town officials want public input on problems and solutions in the area of Gem Street and Cowette Street, Greenwood Avenue and Cleveland Street from North Avenue to Madison Avenue.

Organizers for the 355-mile ride in September, called “Pathway to the Peaks,” say the town is a perfect fit for the fifth annual event.
