In the race for district attorney, it is of vital importance that we have a candidate who cannot only prosecute but also manage multiple office locations.
A large part of that management is budgeting for salaries and office expenses.
It is a matter of public record (PACER, Registrar of Deeds) that Darrick Banda has gone through a personal bankruptcy in 2006, discharging $177,000 in personal debt. He further has had a tax lien placed on him by the Maine State Revenue service for failure to pay taxes in 2009.
I have concerns about Banda’s ability to manage almost a million dollars in taxpayer money without oversight, as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars in victim compensation funds.
Robin E. Frost, commissioner
District 3, Somerset County
