UNITY — Points leader Deane Smart helped his cause Friday night by winning the Late Model Sportman feature at Unity Raceway.

Smart beat out Brent Chase and Frank Moulton to take the checkered flag.

Also Friday, Carl McAlpine beat points-leader Chris King in the Strictly Street Division. Matt Shaw finished third.

Kyle Robinson won both segments of the Monsta Mini Division. Paul Jackson and Cole Robinson finished second and third, respectively, in the first segment, then switched spots in the second segment.

Other winners Friday at Unity were: Richard Jackson in the Flyin’ Fours division; Zach Audet in the Enduro division; Chelsea Young in the Ladies division; and Kyle Jackson in the Lil’ Rascals division.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

SCARBOROUGH — Mike Rowe became the first driver to repeat in the Pro Series this season at Beech Ridge with his victory in the 40-lap feature Saturday night.

Rowe started 12th and worked his way into the top three by lap 20, when a caution flag helped him out. On the restart, leader Steve Carrier chose the outside lane and Rowe was able to maneuver his way to the lead on the inside. Rowe opened a multiple car length advantage and cruised to the win, leading the final 15 laps.

Carrier finished second and Dan McKeage took third.

Other winners Saturday were: Doug Wolfe in the Sport Series; Dan Bean in Wildcats; and Travis Burrows in Road Runners.
