BELGRADE — Elizabeth Leonard, author of numerous books about women and men involved in the Civil War, and chairwoman of Colby College History Department, will speak at 1 p.m. today at Belgrade Public Library.
Leonard was awarded the Lincoln Prize in 2012 for “Lincoln’s Forgotten Ally: Judge Advocate General Joseph Holt of Kentucky.”
This program is free and open to the public. The author will have books available for purchase and signing. The library is at 124 Depot Road, and is handicap accessible and air conditioned.
