Todd Bowman, 39, of Jefferson was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident by police responding to an accident on Route 105. Bowman told police he had swerved to avoid something and left the roadway and his vehicle got stuck in the mud. A police report said officers determined Bowman had consumed alcohol the previous night and failed to report the crash.

A 2001 Nissan Sentra being driven north on Grand Army Road by a 21-year-old Windham woman went out of control on a sharp corner and traveled across the southbound lane and hit a brick building. Police said speed and sun glare contributed to the crash.
