HINCKLEY — L.C. Bates Museum announces upcoming events.

* Family Fall Walk Exploration will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. Participants can discover the fall leaves, collect a few and create a fall art work to bring home.

* All day programs on Columbus Day, Oct. 14, are set. Art programs begin at 10 a.m., Sun viewing is set for 1 p.m. and trail explorations begin at 3 p.m.

* Moon Night will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Participants can view the moon up close through the telescope and draw pictures of craters to bring home; dress warmly.

* Scavenger hunts will be ongoing through the museum, while it is decorated for Halloween, Sunday, Oct. 20- Friday, Nov. 1, during open hours.

* Creepy Crawly Art, Girls and their families are invited to create bat, owl and cat art for Halloween at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.

Saturday, October 26 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

* Flashlight Tours of the Museum are set for 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. There will be a creepy tour that focuses on bats and things that go bump in the night. Scavenger hunts will be available for families to try finding some special things all on their own too. Dress warmly and bring a flashlight.

Volunteers are needed to help decorate or put things away for Halloween. Organizers seek help on Oct. 19 and Nov. 2. For more information, call 238-4250 or email ssanborn@gwh.org.
