MONMOUTH — A Farmington woman was taken to the hospital Monday after a crash at the intersection of Bog Road and U.S. Route 202.

Casey Bragg was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with what were believed to be non life-threatening head and neck pain. Bragg’s age was not immediately available.

The other driver, 48-year-old Scott White, was not injured.

The crash occurred just before noon as Bragg, driving a Chevrolet Cavalier, tried to cross Route 202 onto Blue Road from Bog Road. Monmouth Police Chief Kevin Mulherin said Bragg pulled out in front of White’s west-bound Chevrolet Silverado pickup, which hit the front portion of Bragg’s Cavalier.

Mulherin said police do not yet know if Bragg failed to stop for the stop sign at the end of Bragg Road or failed to see White’s pickup.

Both vehicles were totaled.

Route 202 was closed for about 20 minutes. When it reopened, traffic was reduced to one lane for about 25 minutes.
