THORNDIKE — Mr. and Mrs. William Fletcher Jr. were given a party May 18 in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. The Fletchers renewed their wedding vows. Erin Fletcher performed the ceremony.

Fletcher and the former Elizabeth Crawford were married May 15, 1964, at Parsonage of Albion Christian Church by the Rev. John Wriglesworth.

Mrs. Fletcher is employed by Group Home Foundation Inc. in Belfast.

Fletcher is retired. He was employed by Mathews Brothers Co. of Belfast.

They have one son, William Fletcher III, of Boise, Idaho; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of Idaho.

The anniversary party, attended by brothers and sisters and their families from both sides, was held at the Bessie High Building in Albion. Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher took a limousine ride to Portland and returned via the coastal route.
