WINSLOW — St. John Regional Catholic School recently announced the hiring of Bonnie McGann as principal. McGann has performed various roles at schools in Virginia, serving as an elementary school teacher at three schools and as a principal at Sacred Heart Academy, a Catholic school in Winchester, Va.

Prior to her experience as an educator, McGann had a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps Commander. She held Top Secret SCI Clearance and investigated national security issues as a member of a presidential-level task force during the Clinton Administration.

McGann holds a Master of Law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., a Juris Doctor degree from the California Western School of Law in San Diego, and is an active member of the California State Bar. She earned a Masters of Education degree from Marymount University in Arlington, Va., and graduated magna cum laude from Glassboro State College in Glassboro, N.J.
