WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will offer a facilitator training for their grieving children’s program, Hope’s Place, starting Oct. 18. Hope’s Place’s provides a safe, supportive environment for grieving children, teens and families through peer support groups led by trained volunteers, which nurture and encourage safe expression of grief and loss. The training dates will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 18 and 25, and from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 22 and 29.

The 20-hour training will be taught by the staff and volunteers at the Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area’s Community Center, 304 Main St. A $30 processing fee for materials is requested.
