WATERVILLE — The Central Maine Dryland Challenge is set to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Quarry Road Recreation Area. Spectators with well-behaved dogs are encouraged to participate in the canicross race. The cost is $10 to register, and membership is not required, according to a news release from the Downeast Sled Dog Club. Proceeds will benefit the sled dog club.
