I am pleased to write this letter in support of Sen. Colleen Lachowicz, D-Waterville, in her pursuit of re-election to the Maine Senate.
Issues pertaining to Maine’s aging population present many challenges and we need informed and effective leadership about this issue in Augusta. Colleen has proven to be up to the task. Her knowledge and compassion pertaining to the issues have proven to be an effective combination.
Colleen has worked to save the Drugs for the Elderly Program, keep property taxes stable and advocate for increased funding of nursing home and homecare services. There is much more to do, and I have the highest level of confidence that Colleen will work with others to design appropriate supports for Maine’s seniors and caregivers.
