What I would like to say about Kevin Peaslee, 22, of Windsor, “Father plead’s guilty to assault” (Oct. 11) the newspaper couldn’t print but I can think it.

Everybody wants to protect children, but where’s the punishment? In this case, he caused his daughter’s severe injuries when he “lost it” because of her crying. According to Kennebec County District Attorney Maeghan Maloney, his daughter Aleah can’t see, can’t hear, is a quadriplegic, has frequent seizures and is in pain 24/7, and the injuries will cause Aleah to die prematurely. Because of that, I think Peaslee should serve more than seven years in prison. I think it should be for life with no parole.

There’s no excuse, rehabilitation or forgiveness for what Peaslee has done to his daughter.
