It’s been a pleasure running for the state Legislature — knocking on thousands of doors, meeting voters and learning what they think is most important. It’s clear that welfare is the issue that concerns the most people.
As a former fraud, waste and mismanagement auditor, I will seek effective ways to ensure assistance programs help those truly in need, are well managed and eliminate fraud wherever possible. This won’t be solved easily nor will everyone get everything they want. It doesn’t matter where a good idea comes from or who gets the credit, what matters is getting this right.
