The Gardiner Area High School Guidance Department will host College Planning and Financial Aid Night at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Little Theatre. Guest speakers will be Shirley Yankura, former associate director of financial aid at the University of Maine at Farmington; Kate Leveille, college and career access program director for Maine Education Services; and Susan Folsom, guidance counselor at GAHS.
Topics will include the process of applying for financial aid and the forms involved, offering ways to help students achieve their college goals, and the preparation, selection, application and decision-making process.
Students in the process of visiting/applying to colleges, and parents preparing for college costs should consider attending.
