Air Force Airman 1st Class Ryan L. Jackson, of Livermore, Maine, recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Jackson earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Elise G. Jackson and grandson of Eleanor I. Jackson, of Livermore, Maine.

The airman graduated in 2009 from Livermore Falls High School, Livermore Falls, Maine, and he earned a bachelor’s degree in 2013 from the University of Maine, Orono, Maine.
