If the Taliban took over Congress, I don’t think they could do a better job than the Republicans of disrupting, dividing, and conquering the strength and leadership of our nation.

Just look at how they demean and venomously attack the office of the presidency with their nasty email blast cartoons, lies about his citizenship and alleged terrorist support,

The end result? The fewest bills passed in our nation’s history while they draw full-time salaries for part-time jobs and a lifetime of benefits.

Although they were in session only part-time, the Republicans worked hard to prevent the re-election of the president to his second term. Less than two years after the president was elected to his first term, Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell implored his Republican colleagues in Congress to make it their first priority to see that the president would not be elected to a second term. Like the ability to pass bills, the Republicans failed as Barack Obama was re-elected to a second term.

They are working hard to embarrass and undermine the president’s efforts to get a peaceful, negotiated settlement with Iran. Republican Sen. McCain goes around Congress singing his made up song, “Bomb, bomb Iran” to the delight of Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu. Following that invitation, 43 Republican senators sign a pact to further defeat the president’s efforts and Republican Speaker Boehner appoints himself emissary to Israel.

So Taliban and ISIS, eat your hearts out — you have nothing on the Republicans in weakening our country. While voters stay home to watch the Kardashians and the Democratic Party hides, the president is left taking holding the bag alone in doing his job while choosing peace rather than violence in protecting Americans as well those in the Middle East, including Israel.
