I have more French wine in my blood than French heritage, but nonetheless, I am offended by the governor’s latest go-to refrain, “I understand, and I’m French.”
I know what it means to me, but I wish some local journalist would ask him what it means to him.
I would also like to have an influential (nonpolitical, please) person of French heritage explain to him what he is really saying.
I’m sure he will understand, after all he’s French.
