HALLOWELL — In observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Family Violence Project, in collaboration with the Harlow Gallery, has planned two events in Hallowell.

“Jake and Caroline” will be performedat 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at the Harlow Gallery. The skit features female and male presenters who will act out a relationship in which the boyfriend is emotionally, sexually and physically abusive, according to a news release from the Family Violence Project. After the skit, the presenters from Family Crisis Services and Young Adult Abuse Prevention Program will process the scenes with the audience. This event is especially recommended for young people 14 and older.

On Saturday, “You the Man” will be presented at 7 p.m., at Hallowell City Hall. The 30-minute, one-actor play addresses unhealthy relationship behavior and safe bystander intervention, according to the release. It is r
