WATERVILLE — Sarah Bailey King and Michael Patrick Zimmer were married on Aug. 8, 2015, at Lorimer Chapel, Colby College. A reception followed at the college’s alumni center.
The bride is the daughter of Whitney and Jan King, of Waterville. The bridegroom is the son of Paul and Jean Zimmer, of Roseville, California.
Matrons of honor were Carin King Malley, sister of the bride, and Anisa Mechler. Brian Zimmer, brother of the groom, was best man. Bridesmaids were Julie Zimmer, Anjali Zimmer and Kelcie Abraham. Groomsmen were Samarth Bhargava, Joseph Hermosillo and Brian Malley.
Sarah, a 2006 graduate of Waterville High School, graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2010, and completed her Ph.D. in physical chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley in 2015. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society in Berlin, Germany.
Michael, a 2006 graduate of Oakmont High School in Roseville, California, graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2010, and completed his Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer sciences at the University of California, Berkeley in 2015. He is employed as a software engineer by Swarm64 AS.
The couple lives in Berlin, Germany.
