I want to thank J. P. Devine for his beautifully written column about the history of immigration in our great country.
I agree that we must leave our “golden door” open wide.
I also want to thank the newspaper for its history of giving us some great columnists who are terrific writers, including Gerry Boyle, Bill Nemitz, Dana Wilde, Amy Calder, Bill Clark and Gene Letourneau. I’m sure I left out a few, but let’s keep this tradition going.
