I have been following the conflict between Speaker Mark Eves, D-North Berwick, and Gov. Paul LePage. The question I have is why Eves is not being investigated? His involvement in getting the funds from the taxpayers for Good Will-Hinckley is being covered up.
There were only four people involved in crafting the budget, and one person was him. I think he had overstepped his duties, and everyone in Augusta is covering for him. He used his power in office to get a job.
It’s time that the illegal actions of our legislators get attention and not be swept under the rug, no matter which party they are in. They swear to uphold the laws of the state. The end-arounds are getting too numerous.
