MANCHESTER — The CODA Chorus Spring Concert will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Hope Baptist Church.
The theme for this concert is “The Poetry of Song” and will feature a variety of poems set to music. Included are poems by Maya Angelou, Robert Burns, E.E. Cummings, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost and Walt Whitman.
The concert will also feature readings by local Maine poets including Craig Hickman, Claire Hersom, and Ruth and Ted Bookey. Directed by Joelle Morris and with Rebecca Caron accompanying on piano, Chris Lansley will play flute on selected pieces.
