WINSLOW — Sarah Guimond belted a double and two singles and scored two runs as Winslow cruised past Medomak Valley 12-3 in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B softball action Thursday.

Jenna Petrovic had a double, single and RBI and scored three times for the Black Raiders. Liz Pullen added a double and single and drove in a run, while Hillary Libby struck out nine, walked four and allowed four hits to pick up the victory for Winslow (5-0). Lydia Simmons had two singles for Medomak (4-2).

GARDINER 10, MOUNT VIEW 6: Bri Brochu homered and singled twice to lead Gardiner to a KVAC B victory in Thorndike.

Madisyn Curran and Sydney Bartunek each added a double and single to Gardiner’s 15-hit attack. The Tigers improved to 2-4.

Ryleigh Lord hit a triple and Reanna Boulay a double for Mount View (3-3).

MADISON 28, BOOTHBAY 0, 5 innings: Ashley Emery had five hits to lead a 31-hit attack as Madison walloped Boothbay in Mountain Valley Conference softball played in Madison.

Madeline Wood had four hits and five RBIs for the Bulldogs (5-0) and combined with Whitney Bess to limit the Seahawks to two hits from the circle. Sydney LeBlanc added four hits and drove in three for Madison.

MESSALONSKEE 14, BRUNSWICK 0, 5 innings: Kirsten Pelletier homered and doubled as the Eagles took the KVAC A win in Brunswick.

On the mound, Pelletier allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out 11. Madisyn Charest had two hits and drove in two runs for Messalonskee (6-0). Taylor Easler and Sierra McLellan each had three hits.

Brunswick dropped to 0-6.

GIRLS LACROSSE

MESSALONSKEE 18, EDWARD LITTLE 7: Ally Turner tallied five goals and three assists as Messalonskee pulled away for a KVAC win in Auburn.

India Languet and Lauren Pickett each added four goals and an assist for the Eagles (4-0) while Lydia Dexter chipped in with three goals and an assist. Sydni Collier made seven saves in net. Francesca-Beth Haines scored three times to lead the Red Eddies (0-3).

ERSKINE 4, CAMDEN HILLS 3, OT: Hayley Hinds scored with 1:30 left in overtime to lift Erskine to a KVAC Class B win.

It was Hinds’ second goal of the game for the Eagles (2-1). Christina Hodgkins and Ella Johnson scored the other two goals while Malorie Weaver made 16 saves in goal. Katherine Orne scored twice for the Windjammers (1-2), including the game-tying goal with 48 seconds left in regulation.

BASEBALL

MADISON 10, BOOTHBAY 0, 5 innings: Chase Malloy went 2-for-2 with an RBI and three runs scored as Madison blanked Boothbay in an MVC game played in Madison.

Evan Bess added an RBI triple and two runs scored while Ryan Emery drove in a run and scored two for the Bulldogs (6-0). Devon Watt picked up the win on the mound with three strikeouts in two innings.

Boothbay dropped to 0-4.

MESSALONSKEE 12, BRUNSWICK 1, 5 innings: Messalonskee scored 12 runs in the third inning to take the KVAC A win in Brunswick.

Sam Bell hit a single and triple and drove in four runs for Messalonskee (4-2). Tyler Lewis had two hits and an RBI, while Josh Joy had two hits and drove in a pair. Joy also struck out four to earn the win.

Brunswick (1-6) had two hits.

WINSLOW 12, MEDOMAK VALLEY 8: Patrick Hopkins hit two doubles and drove in three runs to help the Black Raiders win a KVAC B slugfest in Winslow.

Spencer Miranda drove in a pair of runs for Winslow (5-0) and Dameron Rodrigue had two singles, while Luke Fredette doubled, singled, and drove in a run.

Ollie Brown doubled and drove in three runs for Medomak Valley (2-4).

SKOWHEGAN 3, BREWER 2: Kameron Doucette beat the throw home on Will Stinson’s bases-loaded grounder to second and scored the winning run for Skowhegan in the bottom of the seventh inning of a KVAC thriller in Skowhegan.

Skowhegan (5-2) rallied from a 2-0 deficit thanks to a two-run single by Kyle Dugas in the fifth. Pitcher Isaiah Vigue allowed two unearned runs to the Witches (2-5) in the first inning but just three hits after that, striking out six and walking two to earn the victory.

GARDINER 18, MOUNT VIEW 6: Hunter Chasse had a home run, a double and a single to lead the Tigers to the KVAC B win in Thorndike.

Isaiah Swan added a triple and a single for Gardiner (3-2), which belted out 14 hits. Devon Maschino and Eli Fish each had a double and a single.

Mount View (0-6) was led by Mikey Hustus with two singles.
