During the downtown Farmington’s Summer Festival Celebration, the family friendly Pie On The Porch event, featuring home-baked pie or strawberry shortcake with a cold beverage, will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Holman Parish House, 227 Main St., Farmington, next door to the Old South Church. The cost is $4 per person. Vanilla ice cream will be 50 cents extra.
Music will begin 1 p.m., emceed by Chrissy Poulson.
In case of rain, the event will be held next door in the Old South First Congregational Church.
Tours of the historic Holman House, built in 1895, will be given from 1 to 4 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit Old South Church’s Newman Wing handicapped accessibility fund.
